How to achieve peace within?

I have been thinking over this for so long that I arrived at this.

A few years ago I used to think that peace can be attained and maintained through apathy and indifference. If you act indifferently toward something, then you will achieve peace, but now I am asking myself — can you act indifferently when you are not indifferent? Of course, no. So now I have realized this — the only way to achieve peace is to realize the temporariness of everything around us.

Once we start not only thinking but also feeling with every inch of our mind, body and soul that everything is temporary around us, including us, the time we are given, the days we have left ahead of us, the people and animals around us, the pain we are going through, the love and hatred we are feeling, everything is temporary, something might radically change in our “operation system.” And if everything is temporary, why waste time on temporary anger, temporary disgust, temporary bickering and pain, temporary tears of pain and temporary everything bad (even if all those temporary bad things continue for years and decades)? They are temporary and thinking so, we might really achieve peace within us.

We just need to be able to tame everything in us that make us waste our temporary life on these temporary bursts of anger and fury and disappointment, etc. And we also need to train our mind to travel in time and look at everything we are experiencing and everyone we have around us a few years down the road and realize once again that everything is temporary.

In all this temporariness, isn’t it better to focus on the things and people that make our temporary life happier, brighter, fuller and relaxed, and eventually peaceful? But are we ready to take bold decisions and steps to this end? It all just requires efforts for our part, efforts to improve us, our attitude and behavior to our surrounding world, including people, nature, wildlife and of course, to ourselves, in the first place.

For now, I would recommend watching the two videos below.
