When a childhood friend gets married… Utmost happy and sad

“As to marriage or celibacy, let a man take which course he will, he will be sure to repent (Socrates).” In my case — it’s the second, in case of most of my friends — it’s the first, although they have found such good and caring better-halves that I doubt they will ever regret being “chained” by marriage. Untitled…

When you’re once being beaten by love, you always think you’ll never be able to recover from that. You think so until the moment someone appears and makes you believe that your heart hasn’t died yet, that it can still spread its wings and fly high above everything. This is a great feeling. And that’s how you can describe it, a feeling, but how it actually feels Continue reading

It Happened Many Moons Ago

***

It happened many moons ago. A boy was born to a woman who was destined to bring him up on her own. The father was not with them but the boy had a grandpa who taught him everything for which the boy was to be thankful in the rest of his life. Perhaps no one has ever grieved for his grandpa as much as he did after the wise man passed away.

The boy was a wonder-child. He grew up having read every book in their library. At the age of six he was more advanced than any other child of his age. He was gifted, and he didn’t know that with time when he would later in his life become just an ordinary person among the rest, there would be a girl for whom he would keep on being the wonder-boy. Raped Every Other Day…

She was born a great many years ago. The beauty she had can’t be described; she looked heavenly beautiful. She was the undeniable embodiment of kindness and love. She never hurt anyone, only gave people whatever she could to make them happy, she fed them, provided shelter, gave them warmth and loved them. She cared for the nature and the wildlife, Continue reading

I’m Just a Dreamer…

You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one… Only God knows how many people tell me this. “You’re a dreamer” this phrase implies that your way of living is not right or rather realistic. I believe mainly two type of people hear it — those who live in their imaginary world, where everything is kind and generous and as they wish, and those who have unrealistic dreams thought to be goals.

I belong to both types. No, I have not cut myself from the reality, I clearly feel and see it, but it’s too cruel for me. I hate all that cruelness I see around me, and it does not refer to only the murders, cheatings, lies and unfaithfulness I see around me. You know they’ve become a rather acceptable way of living, while they should not be. Words like loyalty, love, honesty, trust, faith have long lost their true meaning. Continue reading

Getting Baptized: Personal Decision

Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.”

Why do you wanna be christened???

They say if you were christened in childhood, then once an adult you should again be christened. But why? Christening should be a conscious process, you should be conscious of what you’re doing, because it’s not all about being marked with the holy water and receiving God’s blessing.

On the whole it means to gain citizenship in the country/world, call it however you want, I call it heaven. To be granted a US citizenship we do everything, we work hard, we follow the rules and laws, but when it comes to gaining citizenship in heaven we take it for granted or I’d say we simply don’t care. We think, “well I already got God’s blessing in the church, so I have my ticket to there!” No you don’t. Continue reading

Live FOREVER? Why?

What’s the most beautiful thing you have? Your sight, your hair, your body, the trees around you or the wildlife? I say the life, as you’d never enjoy all that without your life. I am talking about the life each of us has been granted not due to our parents but by external powers, call those powers however you want, I call them God.

But the point is not in this. I wonder how many of us really care about it? Do we truly appreciate what we have? No! Not even me. I love my life as much as I hate it. Seems like a certain balance is formed and it keeps me moving, but things should not be like this. I am an ungrateful person just like every one of you, I can’t say anything for you, but I am ashamed of myself for that. Continue reading

New Year, New Thoughts, New Life

When people don’t have much reason to live, they are waiting for this day hoping it will change their lives.

I’ve got much reason to live, one of them being my family. But the 2011 was as much beautiful for me as ugly it was, I went through really hard times, most of them being inner pain and sufferings. Sometimes they’d make me not care about anything in the world, and I’d wish to die or just everyone else to disappear so that I could rest. I bet many of you have gone through all this. I tell you it’s wrong, and you yourselves know that. Continue reading

Having Faith Helps Live

This is a so-called “interview” between me and a school student who’s call was absolutely unplanned in my life and rather unexpected. He was a very nice kid who surprised me with his choice of the topic and accurately thought out questions.

1. Do you think the place of religion has changed recently? Would you say that its role in modern life is increasing? Continue reading
