Armenian nature: Lori province

I have always caught myself thinking that living in nature and in constant communication with it is where I belong to, but the more I think about it, the more I realize another fact too — humans are ungrateful and if I had the chance to live where I would love to, I would in the end start taking it for granted and eventually, not treasure it. Thought/question of the day: We all are killers

Ani Babayan

A recent thought that has occurred to me is — if we don’t kill a person but kill another living being does it make us a less killer than the one who kills a human?

Who said that humans have more right to live than the animals, birds or insects? How many ants do we kill while walking? How much grass do we tread while running? How many trees do we cut a day? How many flowers die every day just to make a girl smile? Continue reading

Mount Ararat: On the way to Aruch Cathedral

Aruch Cathedral in Armenia: The ruined dome and the birds

Armenia lives and flows in my veins. My connection to my country is a bond that cannot be broken even if I spend years and decades outside of it. I don’t know how attached other nations are to their country and land, but we Armenians are and we pride ourselves on that.

While I knew much about the history of Armenia, I did not know that much about its places of interest and it all began a few years ago, when I started studying each single “place-to-see” in Armenia. Back then it was just a study which then transformed into a website presenting full information about Armenia, whereas today I stick to the lists I had made back then and organize weekend travels there. Lake Parz (Clear) in Armenia: Hidden gem

One of the things I love about my life are the weekend travels. While at first just a mere adventure, they have now turned to a kind tradition which we try to always keep. Being a small country Armenia has much to offer for those who are willing to explore it.

On the road we thought of going to Haghartsin Monastery, the beauty of which is beyond description, but as we drove closer to the monastery we decided to go to a place where we had not been — to Parz Lich translated into English as Lake Clear. Continue reading

Unknown Reasons…

Sometimes the people you run from are the ones that seem to haunt you all the way throughout your life. These are not the people who you hate but rather who you love but with whom you just can’t be because of reasons that are unknown and yet so powerful. You know only one thing – that without you they’re gonna do better, happier, luckier,,, that they’re gonna smile,,, one thing that’s missing when they are with you because those unknown reasons just don’t let the lips perform that simple lip movement because in reality even that smile that today’s being so masterly faked needs energy coming from the soul. The Painter Inside Each One of Us…

“Can you do like this? See, with one simple line I can make her smile or make her smile fade away?” said the painter. Does this mean that each one of us is a painter in their heart? I say yes, because with one simple word, touch, look we can make someone’s eyes shine with the brightest glow or just ruin all that sparkle! Yes, we are all painters. Unlike those ordinary painters who paint with brushes, dyes and pencils we paint with our actions, and unlike those painters who are mastered in one or two directions, we are all mastered in every sphere, we can paint happiness and grief, pain and smiles, losses and achievements, tolerance and bigotry, love and hatred, satisfaction and envy, and ultimately, life and death. I’m Just a Dreamer…

You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one… Only God knows how many people tell me this. “You’re a dreamer” this phrase implies that your way of living is not right or rather realistic. I believe mainly two type of people hear it — those who live in their imaginary world, where everything is kind and generous and as they wish, and those who have unrealistic dreams thought to be goals.

I belong to both types. No, I have not cut myself from the reality, I clearly feel and see it, but it’s too cruel for me. I hate all that cruelness I see around me, and it does not refer to only the murders, cheatings, lies and unfaithfulness I see around me. You know they’ve become a rather acceptable way of living, while they should not be. Words like loyalty, love, honesty, trust, faith have long lost their true meaning. Continue reading

Getting Baptized: Personal Decision

Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.”

Why do you wanna be christened???

They say if you were christened in childhood, then once an adult you should again be christened. But why? Christening should be a conscious process, you should be conscious of what you’re doing, because it’s not all about being marked with the holy water and receiving God’s blessing.

On the whole it means to gain citizenship in the country/world, call it however you want, I call it heaven. To be granted a US citizenship we do everything, we work hard, we follow the rules and laws, but when it comes to gaining citizenship in heaven we take it for granted or I’d say we simply don’t care. We think, “well I already got God’s blessing in the church, so I have my ticket to there!” No you don’t. Continue reading

Live FOREVER? Why?

What’s the most beautiful thing you have? Your sight, your hair, your body, the trees around you or the wildlife? I say the life, as you’d never enjoy all that without your life. I am talking about the life each of us has been granted not due to our parents but by external powers, call those powers however you want, I call them God.

But the point is not in this. I wonder how many of us really care about it? Do we truly appreciate what we have? No! Not even me. I love my life as much as I hate it. Seems like a certain balance is formed and it keeps me moving, but things should not be like this. I am an ungrateful person just like every one of you, I can’t say anything for you, but I am ashamed of myself for that. Continue reading

Wake up Girl!!!

There are many reasons that can stand as an undeniable proof that God is a real genius. My proof is you. I know you think I am going crazy but it’s not so. Look into the mirror girl. When was it that you developed a low self esteem? What makes you think you are worse than any other girl walking beside you or under your balcony?

Look into the mirror. You see those beautiful eyes? Don’t go deep into the color, the colors don’t matter much here. Pay more attention to that beautiful shape of your eyes and their deepness, a whole book can be read in them. You just need to raise them when people look at you, otherwise they’ll remain unnoticed.
